In April 2010 the FeisPix website was moved to a new server in order to cope with the amazing traffic experienced following the World Championships in Glasgow.
Action shots
The site now contains action shots of solo dancers. In the past we have not displayed solo action shots for reasons of propriety and/or personal security but we have amended this policy after careful consideration, mainly because of the additional security feature of the new site. The current system requires all visitors to register before being able to log in to view photo galleries, thus providing a database of all registered visitors, containing information such as valid email addresses and IP numbers, and a record of all images downloaded and by whom.
In terms of propriety, all photos have been subjected to a 'censorship' process by a FeisPix team of three, two female and one male, scrutinising every image and removing those that might be considered by some to be inappropriate for publication on the grounds of propriety. Shots of fallers have also been removed. In some cases we used our admittedly 'non technical' terpsichorean judgement to exclude unflattering dancing shots. It was beyond our skill however, to remove all shots that could conceivably fall into that category.
If any dancer/parent/guardian wishes to have photos removed from this site, please contact us. All valid requests will be met but please understand that we cannot be selective about removal of the 'technically unflattering' shots only, as this would present an impossible task.
