All Ireland Championships and World Championships 2010
FeisPix has once again been chosen by CLRG as the sole official photographer at these major events.
Studio operating hours
The FeisPix studio at the championships will operate from 0800 to 2200 or until the closure of the venue, whichever is earlier, in order to provide you with an optimal accessible service.
Studio location
In Killarney the studio will be located on the upper floor of the INEC called the Mporium. In Glasgow it will have a prime sign-posted location in the Royal Concert Hall.
Action shots on stage
In addition to studio portraits John Egan aims to photograph each and every solo dancer and team in either the first or second round (but not in both). Standing shots followed by action shots will be taken. A series of action shots are ideal subjects for a multi-image montage. You can see montage sample here. Any dancer wishing to order a montage in advance can do so by contacting FeisPix before dancing so that sufficient extra shots can be taken of that dancer. Proofs of action shots will be displayed at our booth/studio soon after the round in which they were taken.
If you are unable to view your lo-res action proofs these can be emailed to the dancer in question for a small fee which is refundable against a subsequent purchase.
To pre-order and pay for an action montage please email us for instructions before the event, but certainly tell us before you dance. You will need to give us details such as your name, age group, dance school etc.
Pre-ordered montages - This really is the best way to ensure we capture a range of images that you will be proud of.
For personal security and for reasons of propriety, action proofs will not appear on our website, except for a selection that demonstrates the quality of photography and range of competitors’ dancing skills.
Podium presentations
Several photos will be taken of all presentations. We will endeavour to capture everyone on stage. Lo-res proofs overlaid ‘FeisPix Copyright’ will appear on our Gallery page soon after the event.
Team events
We hope to photograph all céilí, figure and Drama events. Lo-res proofs of these will appear on our Gallery soon after the event.
World Championships Ruby Ball
To mark the 40th Anniversary of the world championships a Ruby Ball is to be held in the Old Fruit Market. FeisPix will be there capture this memorable event, including the presentation of certificates to the successful TCRG and ADCRG graduates. Lo-res proofs of these pix will appear on this website.
Dancer photo certificates
An innovation for the 2010 All Ireland and World championships will be the award of photo certificates to all dancers. CLRG has commissioned specially designed certificates capable of being overlaid with a photograph of the dancer or team. This idea was successfully trialled at the most recent All Scotland and GB championships where they proved to be very popular. For a small fee the dancer or céilí team can take their certificate to the FeisPix studio who will print a photograph and name on it. Click here to see sample. Alternatively you may just wish to have your name and dance school printed on it. Click here to see sample.
Pricelist
Photo prices will be the same whether they are taken against our studio backdrop or on stage. To see our pricelist, click here.
Communicate with FeisPix
We welcome your queries via the Contact Us email link on this website before and after these major events. We would hope to answer all queries depending on the workload involved.
We cannot over-emphasise that communication with FeisPix is best made directly with us via email or telephone. Yes, we do read the Irish Dance message boards which we feel can be an excellent medium for disseminating information, especially when used properly, sensibly and intelligently, like most posters already do. But please understand that we cannot use a message board forum to conduct business, or to respond to queries or to rebut anonymous false statements of dubious intention that appear from time to time. We have heard some folk refer to ‘Voy assassins’ but we couldn’t possibly comment.
